Where and when did your PR career begin?
My first entree into my PR career, I guess, was an internship for a non-profit that supported research for Alzheimer's and heart disease. There was A LOT of red pen marks on my press releases and newsletter articles...I think I actually got the internship old-school style -- circling a want-ad in the newspaper.
What was your first job and how did you get it?
My first REAL job in PR was at Brotman Winter Fried Communications in Washington, D.C. I found the opportunity (again, old-school style, I think) while I was interning for the World Bank's News Bureau. I went in for the interview and realized a friend from college also worked there and the rest is history -- three fabulous, fast-paced, fun years at the agency.
Where is your dream travel location and why?
I have wanted to go to Sardinia since honeymoon planning. It lost out to a more tropical, lounging destination; however, I'm still dreaming of the island off Italy that seems to offer outdoor adventures, amazing food, beautiful beaches, lots to explore, and rustic, as well as luxurious accommodation options -- so you can have it all!
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring 3 things, what would they be?
Am I allowed to bring my family? ;) Guess they would be a given, (and could also take up my three things) but I would also bring plenty of music and writing/drawing materials. |
